The Surface King is a mobile wash water recovery and recycling system that cleans an 8' wide path while driving, then recovers and recycles the wash water on board for reuse. We built it for a customer who needed to remove a soy-based paint used for event advertising. The system was shipped to France and used as part of the cleanup crew at the Tour de France.
The challenge: fast event cleanup without runoff
Painted road advertising has to come off quickly after the event, over long distances, without washing paint and wash water into storm drains. The customer needed to clean a wide path at driving speed, capture everything, and reuse the water, because a fresh water hookup wasn't available along the route.

How a closed-loop wash water recycling system works
- Wash. The pressure washers feed the 8' surface cleaning tool.
- Recover. The vacuum pulls wash water up through the tool as it moves.
- Separate. The Oil Harvester drops out solids and separates oils.
- Filter. Multi-media and cartridge filters polish the water.
- Reuse. Clean water returns to the holding tank and goes back through the pressure washers.

Can recycled wash water be reused in a pressure washer?
Yes, once it's properly separated and filtered. Our WR2020 recycling system filters to 20 microns for reuse.
Can I add recycling to my existing rig?
Yes. A 450 CFM recovery vacuum plus a recycling system can be added to most existing mobile wash setups.
What warranty comes with Hot And Mighty pressure washers?
