Why build it around an 8 GPM hot water washer?

The HCA-2 is designed for 8 or 10 GPM washers, so 8 GPM is the smallest washer that runs the head as intended. Hot water matters on bins because the residue is food waste and grease, which heat breaks down faster than cold water and chemicals alone. The Money Maker 3008 is also a dual operator unit, so one person can run the bin cleaner while a second wand handles touch-ups, pads or curbs.

How does the wash water get captured?

The bin cleaner washes the can, the water runs off onto the wash area, and the 250 CFM recovery vacuum pulls it up through the sand catcher and pre-filters into a holding tank. You then dispose of it at an approved point. Many cities in California and Texas don't allow bin wash water into the street or storm drain; our sister site explains why in Trash Can and Dumpster Wash Water Rules: What Cities Require.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a trash bin cleaning trailer cost?

This starter build lists at $53,945 for the three main components (HCA-2 head, Money Maker 3008 trailer and 250 CFM recovery vacuum) on hotandmightydirect.com as of October 2026. A recovery and recycling build costs more. Your written quote gives the final price for the complete trailer.

Can I use my own pressure washer with the HCA-2?

Yes, if it delivers 8 or 10 GPM. We sell the HCA-2 head on its own for operators who already have a washer, or build it into a complete trailer.

Do I need the recovery vacuum?

If you need to keep wash water out of storm drains, yes. The head cleans the can; the vacuum captures the runoff so it can go to a tank or a recycling system.

Can I add recycling later?

Yes. Tell us that's the plan and we'll lay out the trailer with room and plumbing for a recycling system.

How long does the build take, and how is it delivered?

We keep trailers and washers in stock for quicker builds, and every quote includes the build time. We deliver nationwide by freight, or you can pick up at our shop with free training.
